Cooperation within the ITA Programmes and Projects

The European Union (EU), the Council of Europe (CoE), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) are regular and the most active donors in Ukraine that provide substantial assistance in approaching the judiciary to European and International standards, establishing and promoting judicial training, learning and implementing best practices of judicial schools.


Since 2011 NSJ is running ITA projects and programmes started earlier and newly launched. They are as follows:  

    1.The USAID Ukraine Rule of Law Project (2007-2011);

    2.The USAID Fair Justice Project (2011-2013);

    3.The USAID Financial Sector Development Project (2009-2012);

    4.EU-CoE Joint Programme Transparency and Efficiency of the Judicial System of Ukraine (2008-2011);

    5.EU-CoE Joint Programme Combating Ill-treatment and Impunity (2010-2012);

    6.CoE Project Enhancing Judicial Reform in the Eastern Partnership Countries (2011-2012);

    7.Twinning Project Support to National School of Judges of Ukraine funded by EU (2009-2011);

    8.CoE Project  Strengthening Professional Training on the ECHR – European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals, HELP II (2010-2013);

    9.EU-UNDP Equal Opportunities and Women’s Rights in Ukraine Programme (2008-2011);

   11.Supported by OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine Raising Awareness of Human Rights and Protection Mechanisms Project (2011);

   12.Strengthening Capacities of the Law Enforcement and Judiciary to Prosecute Labour Trafficking in Ukraine Project, in cooperation with International Organization for Migration (2011-2012);

    13.Implementing of EU Institution Building Instrument TAIEX (the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Programme).

    14.Launching new Ukrainian Canadian Judicial Education for Economic Growth (JEEG) Project (2012-2017)
