Cooperation with International Organizations

 

 NSJ is a member of International Organization for Judicial Training (IOJT) that is uniting  106 training institutions for judges and prosecutors from 65 countries, and the Lisbon network of judicial training institutions from 46 CoE member states;

 

In partnership with Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine (EU) NSJ is promoting its institutionalization and supporting events through implementation of EU-Ukraine Action Plan on Freedom, Security and Justice and its Plan Schedule, EU and CoE joint programmes and projects, EU Twining and TAEX instruments;


 

In partnership with General Secretariat of the Council of Europe (CoE) and the Office of the Council of Europe in Ukraine NSJ is implementing programmes within Action Plan for Ukraine 2011-2014, fostering new areas of cooperation both within and beyond existing programmes and projects, contributing to extension of contacts with other European judicial institutions, arranging joint international conferences, workshops, trainings of Ukrainian judges, elaboration of new training programmes, etc.;

 

Relations with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have been promoting. Apart from traditional cooperation within the USAID Fair Justice Project, NSJ is involved in other USAID projects such as Financial Sector Development Project to carry out training activities to strengthen capacities of judges in resolving disputes on bank corporate governance and the rights of shareholders;

 

Joint efforts of Commerce Law Development Program (division of the US Department of Commerce Office of General Counsel) and NSJ are targeted at trainings of trainers on trialing cases on infringement of intellectual property rights;

 

In 2012 in cooperation with Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and National Judicial Institute NSJ the 5-years joint Project on Judicial Education for Economic Growth in Ukraine was launched;

 

With United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) NSJ is cooperating to build capacities of judges on land law and consumer rights;

 

Based upon the cooperation agreement with International organization for Migration (IOM), the training programme was elaborated and module for trainings of judges on specifics of trailing of criminal cases related to trafficking in human beings and forced labor exploitation was devoleped.
