A step into the future: AI for legal professionals
In the last week of March 2026, the National School of Judges of Ukraine held a training course entitled ‘Digital Literacy for Judicial Assistants and Court Staff’ for judicial assistants and court staff.
The aim of the training was to develop the participants’ digital competencies, improve their skills in the effective use of information technology and artificial intelligence tools in their work, and ensure their awareness of contemporary legal approaches in this field.
Leading experts from the judicial system and academics took part in the training, including Anastasiia Grabovska, Yurii Fedorovych, Volodymyr Horbalynskyi, Vasyl Ilkov and Andrii Ryshchenko.
During the training, participants familiarised themselves with the legal framework for the use of artificial intelligence in Ukraine and its regulation within the European Union, learnt about the Supreme Court’s modern IT resources, and examined the practical aspects of using artificial intelligence tools in the daily work of a judge’s assistant.
Particular attention was paid to an overview of popular AI tools, specifically their potential applications and the formulation of effective queries to address professional tasks.
The training session contributed to the development of the participants’ digital competence and enhanced the effectiveness of their professional activities.
