Strengthening cooperation with the National Mediation and Conciliation Service and the International Labour Organisation in Ukraine in the field of labour relations
On 11 March 2026, the Acting Rector of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, Nataliia Shuklina, together with Judge of the Sobornyi District Court of Dnipro, and NSJU trainer Maksym Khodakivskyi, held a working meeting with the Head of the National Mediation and Conciliation Service, Dmytro Kukhniuk, and representatives of the International Labour Organisation in Ukraine, Serhii Savchuk and Dariia Aleieva.
The discussion focused on expanding partnership cooperation in 2026 and integrating labour relations into the NSJU’s educational programmes for judges and representatives of the judicial system.
Priority areas include: the incorporation of ILO conventions into the national legal system; the application of international standards in cases of gaps or conflicts in national legislation; ensuring the right to occupational safety, equality and protection against discrimination; the impact of war, digitalisation and new forms of employment on the field of labour rights; prospects for training judges on the practical application of international labour standards.
The partnership between the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the NMCS and the ILO aims to enhance judges’ professional competencies in the field of labour law and to implement international standards for the protection of workers’ rights in the face of contemporary challenges.
